Iyengar Yoga Teacher Training Courses
Two-year teacher training courses leading to a Introductory Teaching
Certificate (internationally recognised Iyengar qualification) are
regularly run in Dublin. It is necessary to have attended regular
classes with an Iyengar Yoga teacher for three years to be eligible for

The
Irish Yoga Association Course
The Irish Yoga Association has been running philosophy
based Teacher Training for over 30 years and runs a variety of Yoga
training courses:
The Teacher Training Course is a comprehensive 540 hour course which is
run on a part-time basis over four years. The syllabus includes Asana,
Pranayama, Meditation, Relaxation Techniques, Philosophy, Kryia, Mudra,
Bandha, Anatomy & Physiology, First Aid and Psychology. This
course is recognised by the European Union of Yoga.
The Post-Graduate Course comprises of six weekends and a residential
week. This course focuses on enhancing and deepening personal
practice as well as exploring various styles of teaching and delivery
skills through experiential learning. This course is open to those who
hold a valid Yoga Teaching Diploma (equivalent to a minimum of 200
hours training) and who meet the standard of assessment day and
interview.
The Deepening the Practice Yoga Course
which is one day a month over seven months. This course is aimed at
those seeking to explore more than a weekly Yoga class without
progressing immediately to the Teacher Training Course. These courses
are run in various locations around the country.

Ashtanga Yoga Dublin
Teacher Training Course
This new Yoga Alliance UK accredited RYT 200 is a thoroughly practical
training inall aspects of Ashtanga Yoga. Mindful that Yoga Teaching is a
vocation and one must first be a practitioner before being a teacher, the
course will help the student develop a personal Asana, Pranayama and
Meditation practice while providing training in Yoga History, Philosophy,
Chanting, Yoga Sutra, Bhagavad Gita, Anatomy and Lifestyle and Nutrition.
Teaching skills, including asana techniques, modificatons, benefits and
precautions, adjustment techniques and variations will be taught in
clinics and in class conditions through Observation, Assisting and
Teaching at classes at Ashtanaga Yoga Dublin. The training will take place
over 11 Weekends (15 hours each) from January to December 2012 as well as
at classes and courses in the school through the year (70 hours).
Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years of regular Yoga practice (not
necessarily Ashtanga) and have a deep commitment to pursuing the path of
Yoga in all its aspects and to sharing this experience with others. The
final weekend of the course will be an Assessment Weekend and in addition
there will be Assignments, Home Study and Practice, as well as Continuous
Assessment. The Course will b etaught by David Collins and Paula Herbert,
both Yoga Alliance SYT's, who between them have over 25 years of teaching

The
Yoga Therapy and training Centre (YTTC)
The Yoga Therapy & Training Centre (YTTC)
is Ireland’s largest yoga training body with local Yoga
Centres
nationwide. The organisation was founded in 1996 to give practitioners
in Ireland the opportunity to study locally towards an internationally
recognised qualification, meeting National Occupational Standards. The
YTTC runs specialist courses on yoga for pregnancy, teaching yoga to
children and chair yoga, as well as a 15 months (one weekend per month)
Level One Diploma courses which covers asana techniques, teaching
skills, relaxation, meditation and anatomy.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training Foundation Course 240 hour Certification
A two year course grounded in the lineage of Krishnamacharya and
developed from the teachings of Yogaworks founders Chuck Miller and
Maty Ezraty. It is designed for the serious practitioner to help
develop confident teaching skills for all levels and create a dynamic
and intelligent self-practice. A minimum of three years consistent

Seven Winds Yoga Philosophy and Practice Intensive
Though this course is not a teacher training, it will be of interest to

understanding of traditional yoga. It involves 16 Sundays spread over
